Light

Chamaeleo calyptratus that are kept in captivity should be provided with a basking light and a source of UVB/UA light. The ExoTerra Solar Glo 160W is a mercury vapour bulb that is designed to simulate natural sunlight, emitting optimal levels of UV rays, visual light and infrared ( heat ). The especially high amounts of UVA and UBV rays are among the many beneficial aspects of this new generation herpetoculture lamp.About 5-6 hours of natural sunlight is equivalent to a week or more under artificial lightning,

Terrarium 1

The terrarium was constructed primarily by using foam waterproof insulation board adjoined with silicon sealant. Both readily available in hardware stores. The background was formed by using tile adhesive and then finished with a mixture of paint and fine sand,to enclose the top and sides, very fine mesh aluminium was used. Two pieces of 5mm glass ( 55cm x 120cm in my case ) were used for the front to complete the construction.
To finish the outside several options exist, depending on personal preference. Aluminium, mosaic tiles or simple plastering.

Aluminium-Terrarium

This terarium was also built with water-resistant insulation boards, the only difference is that it has been covered with aluminium.

Homemade incubater

Incubator

Incubators are expensive here is an alternative how to build one yourself.
What you need is :
1. Waterproof container. In my case I used an aquarium 40.0cm x 25.0cm x 25.0cm
2. Styrofoam 6cm thick
3. One aquarium immersion heater.
4. A stainless steel mesh  45.0cm x 39.0cm grid size 1cm x 1cm
5.  Plastick bowl`s to accommodate the egg`s.
